Welcome to my blog! Here I’ll be writing about interesting things I come across, projects, and technologies.

What changed

For a long time, the website didn’t have a Blog section. But after years of working on various projects and at a large company, I’ve accumulated quite a lot of information and observations that I’d like to share. I’ve also collected plenty of interesting ideas and thoughts about networking and computer technologies that may be interesting not only to me.

First and most importantly, I finally managed to move away from Heroku for good. As a rule, nobody really wants to spend much time maintaining a website that doesn’t generate any income and serves simply as a personal landing page — and I’m no exception. Heroku made deployments simple and fast, which was basically its only advantage for me. I moved to Netlify, which also offers fast deployments and has a more convenient administration panel. On top of that, it’s completely free for my needs.

As a bonus, I also:

  1. Fixed the HTTP -> HTTPS redirect issue
  2. Separated the blog from the website for my pet project using subdomains
